It's a pity good Urban Design is not a science. Then we'd all know exactly what to do. But it's not, and just as everyone has an opinion about how to improve Auckland's transport, everyone has an opinion about public spaces. Though not everyone expresses it. Until something happens in their neighbourhood which disturbs a corner, a place, a special place - loved and used by many for years. Then public opinion gets expressed. |
